God of Science

It's so easy in our compartmentalized lives to some how want to take God out of Science.
It's also just as easy to take Science out of God.

Here are some questions to see how much faith you might have:

Question 1: Do you believe that the Earth could have been created over the course of many millions if not billions of years? Do you agree that a day to God might not be a day to us? Could Dinosaurs be very old?

 Ponder these:
Palms 90:40 (NIV) - A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.

2 Peter 3:8 (NIV) - But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

Question 2. Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ? Do you believe he died for all people? Do you believe there is only one Earth?

Ponder this:
Genesis 1:10 (NIV) - And God called the dry [land] Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that [it was] good.

Question 3: If there were others created by God in his image would you accept them? What if they don't look like you? What is they don't come from Earth?

We are called to love God with all our heart soul and mind and love our neighbors as ourselves.

Question 4: What happens if there is an infinite number of realities all which God controls? Every decision you have made God knows. Every error you make God has a plan to still use you. Would you believe in such a place? If science comes along and states their are many universes should this surprise us? Or does it show us how much God loves us?

Pastor's are not Perfect !

Pastor's are not Perfect ! Please stop idolizing them.

Don't make your Pastor an Idol!
The modern day Pastors have real issues being "real". Simply look on TV and see that they control their image as well as any Presidential candidate. Our goal is not to be like our leader or even our Best Self Now. We are called to obey. Obey God's commends...

Striving for a type of perfection....
Matthew 23:27 - "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.

But do they not realize they are vial and unworthy...
There best works are like rags to a perfect God?
Was Job not MORE devote than Abraham? Isaac? Noah? David? (Murders/Liars/Adulters/Coveters/Greedy)

Job 40: 3-5 - Then Job answered the Lord:
“I am unworthy—how can I reply to you?
I put my hand over my mouth.
I spoke once, but I have no answer
twice, but I will say no more.”

God in turn lays it to Job and humbles him. If you have ever been through some stuff you know what being humbled by the Lord is like.

You are entrusted with stuff, nothing is YOURS!...
Dreams? God dreams. Stuff? God's stuff. Your Children? You Family?  The same goes with the Church (the people).

Genesis 1:28 - Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

God can take it back at any time!

Pastors / teachers / leaders should be humbling themselves, not exalting themselves...
I want to hear my pastor was late. The pastor and his wife had an argument.
My pastor struggles with raising their kids. I want to hear that and I want to hear how they dealt with it. I want to hear how God dealt with it. I want to hear a man asking for forgiveness and leading others by his example. That's why you are a leader.

We all screw-up. My sin  is just as big as yours. The gap between God and me and God and them is no closer for either one of us. God meet us across that gap. Because it's infinite! Only he can!

A real church is an open church. A condemning church is one ripe for a fall.

Why Write?

Don't lose heart! Don't lose faith! No, not in God.

I thought it might be nice to get these thoughts out. I'm sure many have had them.
They have been burned by a church or a man (pastor) etc...
It's terrible! They will and are to be accountable.

Luke 17:2 (NIV) It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.

That's just what we are little Christians. Walking in the door looking for the bread of life to fill an empty void in our lives. It is a terrible crime to lead astray a church (the people).

But we also as Christians know we must forgive. We must let go and understand the burden we have been dealt it dealt with by God.

Matthew 6:14 (NIV) For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

We do not need that curse or burden upon ourselves as well.

Thus I begin my posts....
